Since early 2011 the Managing a Masterpiece team have been running workshops in association with the East Anglian Traditional Music Trust. These workshops have taken place at a number of schools across the Stour Valley allowing hundreds of children to learn about local history in context.

The students have been able to learn about music through traditional songs, been able to learn tradtional step dance and understand history through the use of traditional story telling.

The kids learn about the traditions and customs over a period of weeks with support in the form of workbooks and materials put together by the East Anglian Traditional Music Trust. They also receive regular visits from the East Anglian Traditional Music Trust tutors. Finally when the kids are ready they are able to put together a show, giving them the chance to show off there new skills and for the whole family to come along to the schools to see them in action.

So far these workshops have taken place at Clare, Keddington and Waldingfield and we expect to run them at more schools in the following months.
